Dare!

Sometimes, even if you doubt yourself, or you’re afraid of the answer, all you need is a few seconds of wild courage. Even if you think it comes out as awkward, or silly, or anything else. It doesn’t matter. It’s better to have nervous courage than none. I’m not saying it’s an easy path, and it definitely requires practice and seriously stepping out of your comfort zone. But dare! Do it! The worst that might happen is to hear a “no”?? Who cares in the grand scheme of things 🙂

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

In addition, we don’t celebrate experimentation and failures in our projects and careers enough. Most often than not, we learn through mistakes, not successes. Rather than using those opportunities to beat ourselves up, we should use them as springboards for our next challenges. If you’ve never made a mistake or a fool out of yourself, if you never got your heart broken, if you’ve never tried something new or scary, it’s because you have not pushed yourself hard enough outside your comfort zone. Get yourself out there, it’s the only way to grow. Pursue your dreams, work towards your goals & what makes you happy in life, whatever that may be. Inaction is also a choice. So direct your life, for yourself!

As you’ll gain experience and a more stable footing in your career you should also get a clearer sense of what drives you, what you wish to explore & discover further, where you want to carve your place. Who doesn’t want to be emancipated and empowered, like a bird finally able to fly on its own – that’s why orienting your career is key.

And after pumping you up towards ambitious goals and your future, also keep in mind that If you’re feeling blue and empty, drained of energy and new ideas, even if this might sound tired and clichéd, rest and a good long break can be the best thing for you.

Believe in yourself and others will follow.
